I've had these shower curtains for about 2 months now, I'd gotten them as a Wedding Shower gift. I've had no problem with them coming off the rod as I pull the shower curtain. For the price they work beautifully. I haven't seen any rust yet, and also haven't dropped one. So We'll see what happens in the future. But for now, I still think these look great for the price and function well.

Out with old (green plastic rings) in with the new (pewter hooks)! So easy to attach to the shower curtain and "hook" over the rod. And they match my pewter trim: medicine cabinet mirror frame and flavatory faucets. Best of all they were exactly as pictured - only better and prettier!

I have these on a plastic textured telescoping rod and they work well. The first week or so, 3 or 4 had the tendancy to come unhooked when being pulled too fast but other than that, I like 'em. Also- not only are they better looking than the plastic ones, they are *so* much easier to install/remove when you wash or replace the curtain or liner. I am sold on shower-hooks for life!

I bought these hooks for our shower after looking at all the hooks available for a decent price at several stores. I have hated the plastic rings and hooks (broken too many) for a while now. These hooks are nice and heavy (not in a bad way). We also bought a heavier shower curtain so the hooks rarely come off the rod (not like it is so hard to put them back on if they do come off--gosh people!). I love the style and something so simple adds a bit of class to a bathroom.

I didn't have the experience that some describe of the hooks falling off the rod or the balls coming unsecured. Also they're not noisy unless you jump out of the shower like Superman! They look and feel very high end considering the low price.

OMG. Love these, and had no idea I could ever find something similar to the original hooks I had left. I live in a town close to the ocean, and they have never rusted.

I bought these hooks over 1 1/2 years ago and they are still going strong. I haven't had any problems with rusting. We always run the fan when we take showers so there isn't a lot of condensation. They do come unhooked every once in a while, but I don't think it's that big of a deal.

I love these hooks. I just got them a few weeks ago at my wedding shower. I've had no problems with them coming off, etc, and as people tour my new house, they've made comments on them. They're clean looking and hip!

These hooks are very, very stylish. Simple, yet makes a statement. They can be classy or fun depending on what other decor you have. I agree that they can unhook from the rod, but I have another set of similar hooks, and it is the nature of the beast...they all do that if you aren't careful (besides, its easy to put back on!) Over all I would definitely recommend them!

Looks like something they would have at the W Hotel. I have a solution for the metal on metal problem -- they use it in retail stores... take a piece of wax paper and rub it along the rod -- it will slide great!!!

We've had these for almost a year and I love them. They only come off when someone opens or closes the curtain too fast, but they're so easy to put back on. It's well worth it to me. They're stylish and look much better than those plastic ones! I hate those!

These shower curtain hooks are exactly what I thought they would be. Very well made, and classy! I haven't had any of the problems with them coming off the rod that other people here mentioned. They are nice and heavy and they hug the rod perfectly.

We bought these hooks because they look a thousand times better than the plastic ones. At first we only had a clear liner for our shower curtain because ours had not come in yet. They were a pain with only that liner on. Everytime you moved the curtain four or more would come flying off and even though they are very easy to put back on it was very annoying. We just recieved our new shower curtain and added that to the liner and now they are great. With an actualy shower curtain and liner it holds them down and they haven't fallen off yet and they look terrific I would recommond them to anyone.

These hooks are super easy to use, have a nice heft to them (they won't fall off the bar, and look sharp. The main drawback is that where they are "cut" at the end of the hook is a rather abrupt looking surface. For the price I think they should have been buffed where they were cut for a nice rounded edge.

I had a problem with these hooks when I first got them. They wouldn't slide smoothly along the metal rod, but the solution is to grease the rod with a thin layer of vaseline (because it won't dry up) Works like a charm!! I highly recommend these hooks.

I've had these hooks for a little over a year and I think they make a much better statement than the cheap plastic ones but they do tend to come off the rod a little, it's not that big of a deal though. My biggest complaint is that I have a metal rod and the metal to metal scraping is not that appealing. Try them on a plastic rod!

I like the look it gives to curtain (any curtain)! 5 Star! Modern, simple, stylish, very beautiful, classical ))) but...
I think, these hooks is only for heavy curtain or if you use two curtain: clear inside and other outside. These hooks are heavy. I don't know what happened if they fall down ))) but if there will be kid or small child in the bathroom or even adult and this thing will fall dawn on the person - it's going to be very painful!
The actual hook is wide, it's not "attached" on the rod, it's simply balance there because of the heavy balls, and you need to be very careful when you move your curtain...you know - no fast movings... ))) especially when you angry ))) one that movement and you or your wall or even somebody, who accidentally will open the door, will be bitten by something like stone.
Because of these movement, the hooks often fall down, but not on the floor (if you careful), but hang on the curtain until you fix it back.
They are fine for "no kids family", for modern people, who will pay for attraction more, than for practical and safe, for "The look", for those who just like it.
I like it ))) but I will definitely change it.

These are really nice looking shower curtain hooks and they last forever, but with a lot of shower rods that are telescoping, the hooks fall off the samller part of the rod. Mine would have lasted forever but I threw them away because of this design flaw.

These hooks look great, but I too have had trouble with about 4 or so falling off the rod everytime I open and close the curtain. It gets annoying. I would recommend something else that is more functional!

These hooks are nice for the look, but they come off of the rod too much. Plus, if you live with a lot of people, you'll always know when they're getting in the shower b/c it makes a lot of noise. I went and got the plastic rings instead and I'm so much happier with them. They never come off and barely make any noise.

These hooks are very appealing but, there is a flaw. They tend to pop pff the shower rod if you try to pull the curtain too quickly. While it makes it easier to remove a shower curtain for cleaning or replacement, 1 or 2 almost always come unhooked every time I open or close the curtain too quickly. Also if you use a metal shower rod like I do, you will have to wipe the rod atleast once a week. Metal on metal contact leaves a nasty black residue on the rod.

I purchased these shower hooks approximately 2 years ago for my guest bathroom which is rarely used. After a year I have some hooks which have rusted, some worst than others. I anticipate having to replace them in the near future if I can't remedy the rust problem. I made this purchase because I liked the clean stainless still look but I am disappointed about how the hooks have stood up to in this limited used bathroom.

If you have a guest bathroom that is rarely used, this product adds a nice touch to any décor. However, if you have a bathroom that is in heavy use, these hooks are definitely NOT recommended. Purchase these hooks and you'll find yourself having to reposition them several times a day after they've fallen from the rod. Pull back the curtain too fast and you may even have a more serious mishap.

I wanted some new shower curtain hooks to improve on some cheap plastic rings I had. Bought these locally - thought they looked nice but was a little concerned about the hook instead of full loop. I couldn't find any loops, so went ahead with these hooks. Wish I'd read the review here first, because I could not get these to stay on the rod. I tried alternating the direction of the hooks (i.e. having one face in, the next face out) and it helped a bit but 1 or 2 would come off the rod every single time I pulled the curtain open. VERY annoying and frustrating. Thumbs down - I'm going back to full loops. (And why in the world are virtually all the shower curtain hangers I'm seeing in stores now hooks instead of loops? It's maddening.)

I've had these for a few years now and they're not terrible, but they have some very big flaws. Yes, they do occasionally fall off the rod, especially if you whip the curtain back and forth. Fortunately you can't do that much, because they stick on the rod rather than gliding smoothly. I have a white tension rod which now has black all over the top of it from these things rubbing against it. They do look good, but they just don't work so well.

OK, if you are a morning person you may not mind having to every day sloooooowly open and slooooowly close your cutain with these things so they won't fall off. I bought mine at Lowe's for a buck more so it is a good deal on the price. BUT, i am glad i saved the box cause i can't handle the effort so early in the morning. ANd even with much care to avoid it, some will still come off the rod. Then I have to hang two or three back on it again. I gave two stars because they are really pretty and dress up my curtain and bathroom. I love the way they look on the rod, but for me, convenience and peace is more important than decorative style. I am actually on here looking for the cheap old fashioned ones that won't fall off every morning.

While these hooks are stylish, modern, and compliment any stainless steel accessories you may have in your bathroom, they don't work very well as showercurtain hooks. They hang the showercurtain well, but whenever I move the showercurtain to, say, get into or out of the shower, they come off the curtain rod. Every day I have to rehang the hooks. Every day! There must be a better set...

I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing these hooks. Even with a heavy 13 gauge weighted liner and a cloth shower curtain, 2-3 hooks come off the rod every time I get out of the shower. It has happened 4 out of 5 time so far. Yes, it gets annoying but at this point it's too late to return them. I gave it 2 stars because they do "look" nice.

Great design. They slide well and don't tend to come off the rod. Nor are they hard on shower curtains. However, with a stainless steel curtain rod, the chrome wore off and they rusted like crazy and caused the stainless curtain rod to accumulate surface rust spots too, as water deposited rust on the bottom surface of it. I had to use coarse stainless steel wool to remove it. I'll upload a picture to demonstrate what a year or two of use resulted in: rust! Granted, I often use my bathroom as a sauna, and these are the first hooks I've that lasted long enough for the chrome to wear off. I'll get some stainless ones instead.

Heavy ball on bottom weighs down the curtain and the curtain comes right off the rod every time I'm stepping out of the shower - pass on this and just buy the cheap rings...you won't be sorry. I didn't even buy these for myself, but they came in the apartment I moved into. Quickly replaced them! Horrible.

I loved these shower hooks when I first bought them... but six months later I was changing shower curtains and 2 hooks fell on the floor and the balls broke off, I tried gluing them exe but they kept falling apart. They are beautiful but come on for $10.00 they should last for a few years if you do buy them Don't Drop Them

These hooks are poorly made (fall apart), but the worst aspect of these hooks is their weight. One fell off the rod, hit my bathtub and took a huge chunk of porcelain off the edge. The tub was brand new; it now looks awful.
