1.) Not a discount store shower caddy

I was very pleased when I received my shower caddy. The packaging was excellent and shipping prompt. This is not a low quality discount store item and well worth the price asked.
The shower pole can be adjusted for a wide range of height applications. It is constructed of heavy gauge stainless steel tubing and baskets. The design reminds me of professional quality kitchen storage racks.
2.) Assembly With Hacksaw Required

My only problem with this item is the difficulty of assembling it. We've had ours for five days now, and it's still in pieces. The assembly instructions are all but useless. The worst part is that the instructions actually tell you to use a hacksaw to cut poles to the appropriate length.
3.) Very nice product

Ok, it's true that the assembly was a pain, but the end result is very nice. Good quality baskets, nice good, comparable to much more expensive products. Shipping was fast, and the item was well packaged.

I'm a previous owner of a non stainless steel shower caddy. I refer to my old caddy as Rusty, make that Cheap Rusty, one who likes a shower without water. Anyhow, I really had only 2 choices here on Amazon to choose from that were stainless steel. I choose this one since it looked sturdy and well designed. I'm happy to report that it's everything it said it was. The wife and I put it together in about 30 min (minimal direction reading). I'm very happy with the quality of the product, company that shipped it, and the fairly easy instructions. I have named it Smiling Stainless.

I just got this so I can't comment on it's longevity but it sure looks great in the corner of our tube.
6.) Very handy

Installation was a bit difficult: I needed a hacksaw like a previous reviewer, I used a shorter pole than recommended in the instructions, and it was a little tricky keeping the whole thing together while putting it into the shower. However, once installed it works great.
After several months, it looked like the unit was rusting, but I was wrong: the "rust" turned out to be a rust-colored mold that wiped off. Just mentioning this in case it happens to others. In any event, the company (Organize It) and the manufacturer (Better Sleep) both offered to ship me a replacement unit for free. Great service from both!!

This shower caddy is definitely on the pricey side but is easy to put together and is very sturdy. It should last a while...so take it with you if you move but make sure to hang to the extra parts.

First of all, if you're looking for a product like this, it HAS to be stainless, period. We bought a chromed steel one and it rusted badly in only a year (I knew it would happen, but stainless ones don't seem to be available in stores for some reason, at least not the stores we have around here.) However there are some negatives to this product... First, the poles do not fit together as tightly as the ones for the cheap chromed steel one, so when you install it in your shower the pole may "bow" a little bit. Secondly, somehow the shelves do not sit perfectly level so your shampoo bottles etc. slide over to one side. That said, I have not yet found a similar product that I like better than this one.
Also I had to buy this product twice and am still waiting on my refund from Amazon (yeah, I'm not holding my breath) for when they shipped the first one to an old address. Thanks, guys. Now whenever I look something up on Amazon and it is coming from a third party vendor I just order direct from their web site.
9.) Not worth the price

We are very disappointed with this item. The shelves are sturdy but the plastic piece that holds each shelf in place is easy to break. Further, the shelf that holds our soap bars is showing signs of rust after just 4 weeks. Not recommended.
10.) Company does NOT honor their own return policy!!!
Reviewed by: D. Paulissian Los Angeles, CA

Please be aware when purchasing items from this company, they do not honor their own return policy as stated on their product packaging. My shower caddy rusted within a week after purchasing it, despite a rust proof guarantee. The packaging states: "In case of customer dissatisfaction, return this product, along with the original sales receipt, to the factory. Consumer will be refunded for the return postage and may choose either a no charge replacement or a refund of the original purchase price." And when I requested a refund, I was told that their return policy has now changed, regardless of what was written on my product's packaging.
*I just want consumers out there to be aware of my personal experience with this company, and hopefully it will be of use in their decision-making process.

This thing is horrible, don't buy it. It was a little difficult to put together as the little plastic pieces are not designed well. When i finally got in place, i was feeling good. 2 weeks later (no joke), first signs of rust. It's been a couple months and the top 50% of the thing is completely covered in rust. It's time to dump it. What more can I say?
12.) Rusts after 2 weeks
Reviewed by: Jenn Rancho Palos Verdes, CA

I was very dissapointed in this product. It started to rust after only 2 weeks. I have tried similar products and expected that the high price and the fact that it is stainless steel would indicate that it would not rust. Less expensive but similar shower caddies at least took 6 months to start rusting.
13.) Rusty and dangerous!
Reviewed by: AMU Cali

I had this product for less than two years. It became rusty and unattractive quite a while ago. One day, I reached to grab the soap, and the pole snapped in the middle. The tension flung the pieces forward--right at my face! The caddy fell apart, leaving rust all over my shower floor, and I was left with a bruise by my eyebrow for several days.
14.) Back in the box - going back to the store

The Deluxe Tension Pole Caddy Model 280CHR by Better Sleep, Inc. may be a good product, but I will never know because I can't install it. It's going back in the box and back to the store. The directions for putting it together are confusing. They tell you to sort the pieces carefully before you start, so shouldn't they mention that the 12 inch extension is 14 inches long?
After the third try, I was able to put it together. However, I did not have the brute strength to compress the spring sufficiently to install it in my bathtub. At the point of installation, you are wielding a long pole and trying to press it up into a corner. The space you are working in is small and awkward. The sloping back of the tub prevents you from being able to move in directly under the pole and use your back and leg muscles to push up and compress the spring, and I couldn't do it with just my arm muscles. This may be why it on sale at the Container Store with two price reductions.
